TestCard ProHD now features an SPL meter to facilitate setting up surround sound sources, allowing for both audio and visual calibration within home environments and professional settings.
The latest version includes an Audio Visual Synchronisation test to assist in diagnosing lip-sync issues.
TestCard ProHD serves as the go-to application for configuring modern High Definition TVs or projectors by offering an array of test cards, including traditional types and new ones tailored for setting up home theaters to industry standards.
Properly adjusting contrast, brightness, and color is crucial for optimizing your TV or projector's performance. Additionally, test cards for motion and sharpness enable you to enhance your screen's output. Ensuring motion settings are accurate is essential, especially with modern screens that employ various motion-smoothing techniques. TestCard ProHD offers specific test cards designed for motion testing on screens.
Each test card comes with an information section that provides concise instructions on usage. The more information provided, the better you can leverage each test card. Instructions are conveniently displayed on your iPhone or iPad while simultaneously showing the test card on the external display.
Access to external display test cards, Virtual Blue Filter, and the SPL meter requires an in-app purchase. Before purchasing access, ensure compatibility by testing your device with the media adaptor or Apple TV on the external display—this allows you to confirm full compatibility before buying and share a single purchase among your iOS devices and Apple TV.
TestCard ProHD is compatible with Apple TV V2, V3, V4, V5 / 4k and Apple media interfaces for HDMI or VGA.
To use Apple TV V2 and V3 as the external display interface via AirPlay Mirroring, turn on AirPlay on your iPhone or iPad and select Mirroring for seamless integration. Please refer to Apple’s support page for detailed instructions on AirPlay Mirroring: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5209
An Apple TV version of the app is also available. Once you purchase access to test cards on either the iOS or Apple TV app, you can access them on the other device type without an additional purchase—the in-app purchase is shared across all compatible devices linked to your Apple ID.
